<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that in packet filtering, processing efficiency of a packet can not be improved due to application of a new rule. <P>SOLUTION: A rule control unit includes: a set of rules comprising a plurality of rules having prescribed order; a filter part for evaluating rules belonging to the set of rules by order to determine an applied rule and abandoning or transferring the packet inputted on the basis of the rule applied; and a rule management part which generates a second rule that at least a part of the packet to which the first rule is applied is abandoned when the packet is abandoned or transferred when it is transferred on the basis of the number of respective application times of the plurality of rules and feature information on the packet to which the first rule evaluated last in order is applied, and adds the rule to the set of rules so that it is evaluated just before the first rule. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
