PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a tire by providing a rubber composition improving rubber hardness and preventing degradation of low heat generation properties, adhesion properties to a steel cord and deterioration resistance and by using the steel cord capable of improving the adhesion properties. SOLUTION: In the tire, a rubber-steel cord composite which comprises a rubber composition formed by compounding a rubber component comprising at least one of natural rubber and diene rubber with bismaleimide and the steel cord is used. The rubber composition is formed by compounding 0.1-5 pts.wt. bismaleimide with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the rubber component. The steel cord is a monofilament steel cord comprising one steel filament applied with brass plating or a multifilament steel cord formed by twisting the steel filaments, and the average thickness of the brass plating is set to 0.13-0.30μm.
