PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner capable of improving heat exchanging efficiency of a heat exchanger by allowing a step portion of the heat exchanger to contribute on heat exchange. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger 21 constituted by laminating fin tube heat exchanging portions 51-53 in the thickness direction, and bent to form the step portions 55 at one end portion side, is disposed in an unit case, a guide plate 56 for guiding the outside air is disposed on the step portion 55, a fixing portion 56C of the guide plate 56 is mounted on the heat exchanging portion 51 disposed at an inner side, and a side face portion 56B of the guide plate 56 is mounted on a bottom plate 12 of the unit case with a clearance 60 for circulating the outside air between the side face portion 56B and an end portion 53C of the heat exchanging portion 53 disposed at an outer side.
