In a method for operation of a hybrid propulsion system (1) for a marine vessel, in particular a navy vessel, having at least one electric motor (2) and at least one internal combustion engine (3), in particular a gas turbine, as drive units, which, depending on the requirement, for example the vessel speed, individually or jointly drive at least one propulsion unit (4), for example a propeller, of the marine vessel, the respective power outputs of the propulsion units (2, 3) to the at least one propulsion unit (4) are, according to the invention, controlled by a control device (15) as a function of a predeterminable set value (S), for example a set value for the propeller rotation speed or the vessel speed, and a predeterminable operating mode (B) such that the sum of these power outputs results in a total power (P), which is dependent on the set value, being output to the at least one propulsion unit (4), with this total power output being split between the power outputs (P, P) of the individual drive units (4) as a function of the set value (S) and the operating mode (B). |
