FIELD: physics; computer engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: flexible control involves a method and software. The method relates to transmission by a computer system- data source of several requested data elements in several separate electronic messages to a computer system - data receiver, with control of amount of information on status stored between messages in the computer system - data source, used in a medium which includes the computer system - data source which can be connected to the computer system - data receiver over a network, and involves action for accessing the request for transmitting data elements, action for identification of the first part of several data elements meant for transmission in the first network response to the computer system - data receiver, where first part is less than all of the several data elements, action for compiling the first network response which includes the first part of the several data elements, action for sending the first network response to the computer system - data receiver, action for identifying context which reflects that the first part of the several data elements was sent to the computer system - data receiver, action for determining amount of context which should be sent to the computer system - data receiver, and action for transmitting context to the compute system - data receiver, determined in accordance with the action for determining amount of context which should be sent to the computer system - data receiver.
