A vehicle seat is adapted to be moved relative to a floor of a vehicle. The seat includes a seat bottom that can be moved relative to the floor and a seat back that can be moved relative to the seat bottom.

a seat bottom adapted to be bracketed to a floor to slide along the floor, a seat back coupled to the seat bottom, and powered means for rearranging the vehicle seat by sliding the seat bottom along the floor in response to a user applying a force onto the seat back or onto the seat bottom while seated in the vehicle seat so that the vehicle seat is rearranged to allow for passenger entry or to accommodate passenger location preference without requiring the user to manually overcome all frictional and gravitational forces resisting movement of the vehicle seat.
