<p>1295129 Upholstery; bags R U LIGHT 1 July 1970 [25 Aug 1969] 31928/70 Headings A4G A4M A cushion-like support for the back of the user comprises a flexible envelope 20 defining three spaced, parallel pockets 23A-25A extending substantially the whole length of the envelope 20, the outermost two pockets 23A, 25A being provided with removable rigid members 28A, 29A, such as boards, so that the part of the envelope between these pockets 23A, 25A remains flexible and is of a width sufficient to span the spine of the user. The envelope comprises two flexible sheets secured together around their periphery and along seams 26A, 27A. The pockets are provided at one end with a sliding clasp fastener (22) Fig.2 (not shown) which normally closes the pockets. In one embodiment, Fig.4, the envelope may include a further flexible sheet 33 defining a further pocket 34 to define a briefcase when not used as a back support. In another embodiment, Fig.5, the support includes a strap 37 with a snap fastener 41 to simulate a purse when folded and not used as a back support.</p> |
