Metabenzoyl-phenylacetic acid esters anagestics, antiinflammatories The new cpds. are of formula in which R1 is H or lower alkyl, R2 and R3 are H or together represent - where P and Q are 1-5C alkyl, and the two benzene rings may be substd. by one or more Cl, F, Br, alkyl, alkyloxy, alkylthio or CF3 radicals. - They have high antiinflammatory and analgesic activity, with low ulcerogenic properties.
