<p>1371951 Crimping yarns FIBER INDUSTRIES INC 4 Jan 1972 [4 Jan 1971] 234/72 Heading D1F Crimping apparatus comprises an integral recessed or relieved gear 11 and an integral stepped gear 14 the round- and flat-top teeth 12, 15, and 13, 16, on each part of both of which intermesh separately to receive yarn and impart crimp deformations thereto and to transmit a rotary drive from one gear to the other. The number of teeth on the two gears may differ e.g. by one tooth, in order to reduce wear therebetween. The gears are stated to enable running speeds of up to 4000 feet per minute.</p> |
