<p>1276452 Valves ROBERTSHAW CONTROLS CO 2 Feb 1970 [3 Feb 1969] 4924/70 Heading F2V [Also in Division G3] A pneumatic control device for controlling the output of a heat exchanger has a one-piece diaphragm member 17 formed with axially-spaced diaphragm portions 18, 19, 20 which cooperate with the housing to form an exhaust chamber 24, a control chamber 25 which is connected by spigot 50 to a fluid pressure comparator fed with signals from a heat-exchanger temperature sensor and a pressure regulator, a vented intermediate chamber 26 and a chamber 27 connected via spigot 46 to the heat exchanger. Fluid pressure from the regulator is fed to chamber 31 via spigot 45 and a valve member 36 therein projects through a seat 30 to cooperate with a resilient seat 40 about an opening 39 through the diaphragm member. The pressure fed to the heat exchanger is controlled in inverse proportion to control pressure by connecting chamber 27 to exhaust via opening 39 or pressure via seat 30. Spring 59 which loads the diaphragm member permits adjustment of heat exchanger temperature.</p> |
