1338862 Foot washing apparatus PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 13 March 1972 11615/72 Heading A5R Apparatus for washing feet comprises a casing 1 enclosing a chamber 2, a cover 4 for the casing which includes at least one foot opening 3, the casing 1 also enclosing liquid spray nozzles 6, 8, (5), (7) Fig. 1 (not shown), having spraying perforations 9, 12 at different levels, and a circulating pump 17 for conveying liquid from a collecting channel 16 communicating with the chamber 2 to the spray nozzles. The spray nozzles are in the form of tubes having radial perforations. The nozzle 8 has a cross-piece (11) at the top of chamber 2 with downwardly-directed perforations (13), (14), Fig. 3 (not shown). In alternative forms of nozzles, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown) a tubular element (22) supports a removable nozzle (23) or (24). The bottom 15 of the chamber 2 may be a grid beneath which are spray nozzles having upwardly-directed spraying perforations (not illustrated). An electric water heater with a thermostat may be provided. A switch for the pump may be located on the casing wall for manual operation, or on the bottom 15 of the chamber 2 for foot operation. Alternatively, the switch may be mounted to be operated when the cover 4 is closed. The cover may be semi transparent, e.g. of orange-coloured, translucent, synthetic material. The apparatus may include a warm air blower for drying the feet.
