PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport device capable of easily performing attachment/detachment operation of a roll-like medium, and a printer.SOLUTION: A transport device comprises: a pair of holding sections 32 holding both ends of a roll-like medium 31 in an axial direction in a rotatable manner; a guide shaft section 35 with which the pair of holding sections 32 engages in a state movable in the axial direction; and a regulation section 37 capable of regulating relative movement of the holding sections 32 with respect to the guide shaft section 35. The regulation section 37 includes: a friction member 48 capable of being brought into/out of contact with the guide shaft section 35; an eccentric cam 45 moving the friction member 48 in a direction in which the friction member 48 is brought into/out of contact with the guide shaft section 35 by its rotation; and an operation section rotating the eccentric cam 45.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
