PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driving device for controlling an input current to an arbitrary value in the motor driving device used for a washing machine and the like.SOLUTION: Control means 6 performs: vector control in which a motor current of a motor 4 is decomposed into a current component corresponding to a magnetic flux and a current component corresponding to torque and each is controlled to become a desired value; and speed control in which motor rotational frequency by rotor position detection means 4a is controlled to become command rotational frequency. By torque current control means 67, according to the present motor rotational frequency, in the case where the current component corresponding to the torque exceeds a limit value of a predetermined table, the change of the command rotational frequency is moderated. Thus, an input current can be prevented from becoming excessive, without limiting the current component corresponding to the torque more than necessary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
