<p>Bicyclic amines of formula (I): (where R is 1-6C alkyl or opt. substd. phenyl and R1 is 16C alkyl, at least one of R and R1 being CH3) and salts produced by reducing a cpd. of formula (II): (where R2 is H or OH) or by hydrolysing a cpd. of formula (III): (where R3 is a hydrolytically removable residue, e.g. acyl). (I; R1 = CH3) are intermediates for 2-(substd. bornylamino)-naphthoquinones with amoebicidal and bacteriostatic activity.</p> |
