PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which shortens the time required for resumption of image formation processing in resumption from interruption of image formation processing due to sheet shortage.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: image formation means which forms an image on a medium; supply means which stores a medium and supplies the medium to the image formation means; medium detection means which detects the presence/absence of the medium in the supply means; and control means which controls at least the image formation means. The control means causes the image formation means to interrupt the processing on the basis of the detection of absence of the medium by the medium detection means, and causes the image formation means to start the second preparatory operation during the first preparatory operation of the medium to the image formation means after replenishment of the medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
