Stereospecific prepn of tetramisoles - by condensation of thiazolidines with 2-phenylaziridines

Racemic or optically active isomers of tetramisole (I) are prepd. by reaction of thiazolidines (II) with 2-phenylaziridine (III) in its racemic or optically active forms. The asymmetric C-atom of the 2-phenylaziridine does not take part in the actual condensation and therefore choice of the phenylaziridine gives racemic or optically active forms directly.
