<p>The design is intended to stiffen blinds and canvas awning of the type which are wound onto a horizontal roller and which unwind either vertically or obliquely. The blind (2) comprises a piece of material wound onto a roller (3) with horizontal axis (4). The material has reinforcement and stretcher rods arranged horizontally, parallel to each other and at regular intervals throughout the length. These rods can be made of aluminium, steel or any other rigid material and the ends slide in the guide runners (6, 7) at either side. The rods can be fastened to the material by any suitable means. Even in strong winds, the blind is held perfectly rigid because of the rods inside runners.</p> |
