<p>The sound-insulating jacket (1) comprises a cylinder of sheet metal e.g. lead, which has an inner attached layer of sound-insulating material, e.g. glass fibre, preferably enclosing a wire mesh. The jacket has a removable section (9) at one end to allow access to the boiler formed by a thermic screen. The opposite side of the jacket has means forming an air intake, with a grid for filtering the air. Preferably the jacket is in two sections (2, 3) joined together by an overlapping joint (7) and each section (2, 3) supported by a foot section (4, 5) mounted on a roller (6).</p> |
