Hinge for window frame - has double pivot joints permitting folding member to fit into line when open or closed

The frame has a fixed (1) and a folding member (2) coupled together by two hinges with pivots (5, 6) so that in the open position the hinge stands out at right angles to the long axis of the fixed member. When open the two edges of the folded portions are in line and when closed they abut, avoiding the use of a 45 degree mitre. To accommodate the hinge outer edges when the window is closed, there are cut-out segments to avoid interference. The frame members also have rectangular cut-outs other frame components.
