<p>A cabinet assembly element is U shaped in section, each limb having short internally and externally projecting pieces. the element is inserted in the housing (1), (2), (3), for example around the edge of a display cabinet, and the retention piece (6) is inserted in the element. When assembled, the projecting portions of the U are elastically deformed between housing and retention piece, the dimensions being such as to ensure an adequate grip. A panel of glass or other material (4) may be screwed to the retention piece and when viewed from outside, the means of support will not be visible. With this method of assembly, there is no projection beyond the walls of the cabinet and the housing may be formed in thin material.</p> |
