The system is particularly for drawing water from a well, taking it in by the long branch and discharging it by the short one. The water is caused to circulate, typically by valves at the end of each branch. The air can be exhausted by a tube at the top, and the coordinating mechanism can be in the form of a wooden or metal rod displaced by the air and water, separating them and assisting their discharge. The rod is stabilized by a ball and has a float responsive to the water level in the short branch, and the rod controls an air vent valve.
|
