Casement bolt with upper and lower rollers - operating closure mechanism is slender unit with security latch assuring effective closure

The casement bolt which is fitted with upper and lower rollers or rods, latch and a closure mechanism, is of slender construction and is suitable for fitment in the frames of french windows, and there is a security latch which assures effectiveness of closure. A half turn of the latch in one sense obtains the open position and reverse rotation cause a rack (5) to entrain roller bearing rods (7, 8) and block recoil of the latch, this rotation also effecting closure. The rack (5) traversing bolt (14) is moved via a keyed (17) cylinder (18). This latter bolt (14) is extended to incorporate the security latch (19).
