The fuel is preferably kerosene and the polymerizable material ureaformaldehyde resin. A polymerization catalyst is included which is rendered active on heating and comprises a plastics encapsulated compound, a material which reacts with formaldehyde liberated from the polymerization to produce the actual catalyst or an acid catalyst which has been inactivated by reaction with a volatile base. Starch, alginate, gelatin or polyvinyl alcohol may be included as a stabilizer. The liquid vehicle is water.</p> |
