摘要 1416100 Current collection KRAUS-MAFFEI AG 19 June 1973 [20 July 1972] 29027/73 Heading B7L In an electric railway system, a current collector 9 on a vehicle 2 comprises a contact carrier 10 in which contact pieces 11, 12, 13 spring-mounted for sliding on respective contact rails 5, 4, 3 on one side of the carrier, the carrier being mounted on levers 15, 16 for rotation relative thereto about an axis 14 parallel to the rails 3, 4, 5, axis 14 preferably being the centroidal axis of the carrier 10, and the levers 15, 16 being hinged on the vehicle at 17, 18 for rotation about an axis 19 also parallel to the rails, so that the carrier can move towards the rails under the urging of compression (as shown) or tension springs 20, 21 which are pivotally attached to the levers 15, 16 at 25, 26 and to the vehicle 2 at 22, 23. The apparatus of Fig. 1 is shown diagrammatically in Fig. 2, in which the springs 20, 21 are represented by S and hinged to the vehicle and levers respectively at B and D, and the levers 15, 16 are represented by H and hinged to the vehicle and carrier respectively at A and C. The extended line DB cuts a circle through the fulcrums A and B, the centre M of the circle being on the line AB, at a point E which is outside the triangle ABD for compression springs S as shown but would be inside the triangle ABD for tension springs, the point E never coinciding with B. The collector is intended to afford a substantially constant contact pressure of the pieces 11, 12, 13 against the parallel vertical faces of the rails 5, 4, 3, even at high vehicle speeds, the vehicle 2 particularly being a suspended vehicle.
