<p>1406173 Heavy current switches ETABS HENRI POUYET-ACCESSORIES DE CANALISATION ELECTRIQUE ET TELEPHONIQUES 14 March 1973 [16 March 1972] 12374/73 Heading H1N An isolating or load-break switch has a plurality of pairs of fixed contact clips 24 cooperating with a like plurality of bridging contact blades 9 transversely mounted on a rotatable shaft of insulating material, the shaft being formed by parallel offset bars 10, 11 of insulating material. The blades and bars have co-operating grooves and are held together by bolts 12. One or both of each pair of fixed contact clips may have an associated spring- biased auxiliary contact finger 31 pivoted in an insulating arc-extinguishing housing and cooperating with a spring-biased auxiliary contact blade 27 pivoted on the associated blade 9, the circuit through the switch being made and broken at the auxiliary contacts. An over centre spring mechanism may be connected to the shaft, Fig. 3 (not shown) and insulating screens may be disposed transversely to the shaft, Fig. 7 (not shown).</p> |
