<p>1400805 Folding paper PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 1 Dec 1972 [1 Dec 1971] 55591/72 Heading B8R [Also in Division B6] A flexible web is longitudinally folded into the cross-section shown in Fig. 6 by drawing it from pre-folding apparatus (see Division B6) over an elevating board 41, Fig. 5, and boards 43a, 43b. The board 41 tapers forwards from the web width to the width C, Fig. 5 and 6. The web edges drop over the edges of the boards by gravity and the urging of guide rails 42a, 42b, which slope inwardly and forwardly under the boards to produce two fold lines in each lateral half of the web, fragments of which are shown at W. The outermost portions of the web are forced upwards by a member 47a.</p> |
