<p>1352612 Dispensing flexible sheet material UNION CARBIDE CORP 23 June 1971 [24 June 1970] 29498/71 Heading A4G [Also in Division B8] Apparatus 10 or 12 for independently and successively dispensing plastics films or bags from a stack thereof comprises a substantially horizontal plate 16 to support the stack, a leash rod 24 over which the stack is folded to produce upper and lower overlapping sections of unequal length, and a pressure plate 26 which abuts the folded section of the stack. The innermost film or bag may be removed by gripping its longer section by hand or by a suction gripper. The leash rod 24 is mounted between two angle members 18, 20 forming side walls and is preferably located above the level of the major portion of the folded stack. The pressure plate 26 is slidably mounted on rods 28, 30 and is biased towards the free ends of the rods by springs (32), 34. The other ends of the rods 28, 30 are fixed to a rotatable rod 36 which enables the plate 26 to be pivoted backwardly to facilitate loading. The plate 16 is slidable on angle members 18, 20 to facilitate loading. The dispensers 10, 12 are adjustably mounted on a vertical support member 14 which may carry a plurality of dispensers horizontally or at angles of up to 45 degrees to the horizontal in a dispensing-end downward direction or up to 30 degrees to the horizontal in a dispensing-end upward direction.</p> |
