摘要 1491953 Gyroscopes SOC D'ETUDES ET DE REALISATIONS ELECTRONIQUES 23 Sept 1975 [26 Sept 1974] 38960/75 Heading G1C A spring-driven optically controlled directional gyroscope is capable of precessional movement about two axes at variable speeds under the action of a single-torque motor controlled by pulse signals of variable duration and having a magnetized disc 3 carried by the rotor 1 of the gyroscope. The rotor has a reflective face 5 perpendicular to its rotational axis 6, and is pivotally mounted on a ball 8 at the end of a fixed shaft 9 by half-cages 11, 12 and an elastic washer 13 held by a threaded ring 4. The ring 4 has teeth 16 meshing with a dog clutch 15 slidable along, but not rotatable on, a hollow shaft 17 rotatable on the shaft 9; the shaft 17 is riveted 21 to the innermost turn of a spiral spring 14. The spring 14 has its outer end attached to a casing 18 and is wound-up manually by a key 22 via a ratchet 23, winding-up also turns a flywheel 27 against a coil spring 28 as far as a stop (32) Figs. 3 to 5 (not shown) where it is held by a spring (29) against a notched wheel 26 carried by the flywheel 27. The stop (32) is movable in a groove (33) of a circuit board (34) but is held against such movement by a fuse wire (35). Application of electric current melts the fuse wire to release the flywheel 27 to tilt a lever (40) and release the ratchet 23 so that the spring 14 unwinds to turn the shaft 17, dog 15 and rotor 1, and via a spring 43 and clip 44, to pull the dog 15 clear of the teeth 16. Orientation of the rotor I about the ball 8 is effected by means of the disc 3 having bi-polar diametral magnetization, a solenoid 50 coaxial with the disc and two sensing coils 51, (52) spaced 90 degrees apart. Passage of the magnetized disc past the coils 51, (52) produces pulses according to the position and speed of the disc used to control (in respect of time, voltage and polarity) the supply of current pulses to the solenoid 50 for exerting a torque on the disc.
