The object of the present invention is to provide a deodorant which can remove malodor through catabolizing and digesting the causive agent of malodor by microorganisms, and may be substantially prevented from outflowing of the container while the container is tilted or tipped over. In accordance with the present invention, a liquid deodorant is accomodated within a container 2 together with water-holding materials 7 of a size enough to prevent them from flowing out through ventilating apartures 4 provided through lid 5 to be fitted over an upper opening of the container body 3. The deodorant includes microorganisms catabolizing and digesting the organic matter as causive agent of malodor.
