<p>A pneumatic tire having a tread, sidewalls, a pair of beads and a carcass ply, the ends of which are wrapped about the beads, comprising hard rubber layers for protecting the wrapped ends or turnup portions of the carcass ply, at least two ply reinforcement layers fixed to the turnup portions and the hard rubber layers, and rubber stocks having a hardness less than that of said hard rubber layer embracing therebetween the turnup portion of said carcass ply, the hard rubber layer and the ply reinforcement layers, thereby preventing separations at the bead portions to improve the durability of the tire.</p> |
