PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of automatically securing a water level sufficient for immersing the whole electrode in water when generating electrolytic water.SOLUTION: There is provided an electrode unit 1 which can be disposed in water to be electrolyzed 5. The electrode unit comprises first and second electrodes 6 and 7 and an electrode chamber 8 for accommodating the first electrode. A circulation port 9, a valve body 10 having specific gravity smaller than the water to be electrolyzed and a first diaphragm 12 are provided in the electrode chamber. The valve body floats by receiving buoyancy from the water to be electrolyzed accommodated in the electrode chamber to block the circulation port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
