摘要 1448256 Metal oxide particle-alloy matrix coating UNION CARBIDE CORP 16 Nov 1973 [17 Nov 1972] 53256/73 Heading B2E [Also in Division C7] An article has a coating of metal oxide particles dispersed in an alloy matrix, the oxide being selected from oxides of Al, Cr, Bl, Ca, Ti, Nb, Th, Zr, Ta, Si, Mg, Hf, Y, Rare earths, and spinel combinations of these oxides, and having size 0.05-74 Á and constituting 2-50 volume % and the alloy comprising one or more of Fe, Co, or Ni to an aggregate amount #40 wt % of the alloy and one or more of Al, Cr, or Si to 10-40 wt % aggregate, the coating having hardness #500 Vickers using a 300 gram load. The remainder of said alloy may be selected from W, Mo, V, Mn, C, Re, Y, La, B, Nb, Ti, Ta, or Zr. The article may be of Fe, Co, Ni, Cr, refractory metal or alloys based on any of these; the coating is applied by detonation, plasma-spraying or flame-spraying to a thickness #0.003".
