<p>1384599 Detergent compositions COLGATEPALMOLIVE CO 5 July 1973 [4 May 1972] 20781/72 Heading C5D Multi-coloured detergent compositions comprise a detergent and, in discrete regions of the composition which contrast in colour to other regions of the composition, an anti-bacterial amount of an oxindole of formula wherein A is C 1 -C 30 alkyl, C 1 -C 30 alkoxy, C 2 -C 30 alkoxyalkyl, hydroxy, halogen, carboxy, C 2 -C 30 carbalkoxy, amino, C 1 -C 30 mono- or dialkylamino, C 2 -C 30 acylamino, C 1 -C 30 alkylsulphonyl, or C 2 -C 30 acyloxy; R is H or C 2 -C 30 acyl and x is 0 to 4, as sole or partial colouring agent. The compositions may be in the form of variegated soap bars of marble-like appearance wherein the soap is white, off-white or ivory and the oxindole compound is red in colour.</p> |
