Hand held dispenser for continuous sealing ribbon - removes backing paper strip during ribbon rotation by electric motor

The hand held dispenser is used to install a continuous ribbon (5) of sealing or adhesive tape onto a workpiece. The ribbon (5) is coiled inside a drum (3) from where it unwinds along a guide rail (1) and around a pressure wheel (8). A silicon paper backing strip (11) which prevents sticking between the turns of the coil is peeled off from the ribbon (5) after it is past the pressure wheel. The removal of the backing strip (11) is achieved by a pair of clamp rollers (17, 25) which are pressed together by a leaf spring (22). This roller pair which is driven by a small electric motor (26), is located on the inside of the guide rail (1).
