Flexible controls for vehicle - with coiled hydraulic hoses between hand held controls and vehicle

The sport and pleasure vehicle is self propelled and is steered by the operator shifting his weight on the support platform. Such vehicles include self propelled roller skates, skis, etc. In order to provide a flexible linkage between the hand controls and the engine and brakes a hand grip (12) is linked to the vehicle by coiled flexible hoses (156). Hydraulic master cylinders in the hand grip are thus coupled hydraulically to slave cylinders on the throttle and the brakes. The hoses are coiled so that they do not drag on the ground. A simpler layout has one hose for the throttle control and an electric wire through the hose for the brake control.
