Two piece picture framing bracket - has clamp and tensioner with stop plates and spring

The clamp and tensioner is used to fix a picture or mirror into a frame. At least two clamps lie preferably opposite each other and each has one spring, spacer and suspension element not visible from the side the picture is viewed. These clamp the picture to the frame. The frame is assembled on a tongue-shaped lower leg (12) of the 'U' shaped wall bracket (10). This forms a sliding connection with a corresponding groove (13) in the frame (3). The connection is gaut but can be engaged and released without undue force. In addition there are bent flanges resting against each other, acting as stays (19), and two stop plates (9) at the picture edge. A sprung rod (11) presses the picture against them.
