The backfilling of the steel door case usually involves laborious manul application of very stiff mortar, which must not trickle out between case edges and wall, and also provision of filler apertures in the masonry. The element incorporates two battens, for sealing both edges of the steel case in relation to the wall protruding into its profile. There is a fixing element pressng these battens against the wall and/or the case. The battens may be shaped iron bars, pref. also partly of foamed rubber or other elastic material, while the fixing element may be a screw clamp. The battens may also be connected with fishplates, and equipped to absorb moisture from the backfilling.
|
