Card index system with throw stop plates - which are located between intermediate plates held between notched ledges

Card index system with swivelling intermediate plates supported at it's side edges on notched ledges holding groups of cards between them. Throw stop plates are positioned between the intermediate plates and are also capable of swivelling. The notched ledges (8) have recesses (9) which extend into projections (14) located at the lower edge (11) of the throw stop plates (10). The projections are made as horizontal pins (14) with a free end on their outer side and connected at their inner ends with the throw stop plate (10/ through a largely vertical stay (13). Both stay and pin are shaped in hook form or alternatively are made to form a hook.
