1473932 Counter for cribbage game R E CYRE and R A CYRE 30 July 1974 33530/74 Heading G4B [Also in Division A6] A counter for cribbage enables a total score between zero and 121 to be indicated by the alignment of one of 122 numbered holes 27 circumferentially arranged on a counter plate 12 with a registration mark 31 on a transparent cover plate 13: the cover plate allows access via an arcuate slot 28 to thirty of said numbered holes so that a preselected number between 0 and 29 may be added to the total score indicated by engaging with any suitable pointed instrument a hole lying adjacent the desired number on a scale 29 displayed on the cover plate 13, and moving with a dialling action to abut the instrument with the slot extremity. The counter is rotatably located on a recess 18 of the baseplate, which contains the projection 27.1 to retard rotation of said counter, and the cover plate 13 is located on the seat 19 and prevented from moving relative to the base-plate by the pins 22. The three said components are constrained axially by the rivet 23. In an alternative embodiment (not shown) a cover plate contains a second arcuate slot spaced diametrically from the first and allowing access to a second circular series of numbered holes contained on an annular counter plate rotatably located concentric to the counter disc in a modified base. |
