A system includes an analog-to-digital converter receiving a plurality of input signals. One particular input signal has a particular analog value and the analog-to-digital converter uses a fixed reference to convert the particular analog value to a particular digital value. The analog-to-digital converter uses the particular analog value as a reference for converting the analog values of the remaining input signals.

an analog-to-digital converter receiving a plurality of analog input signals, wherein the plurality of analog input signals contain different bandwidth portions of an audio signal, the analog-to-digital converter using a fixed reference to convert a first analog input signal from the plurality of analog input signals to a first digital value; and the analog-to-digital converter using the first digital value for a reference for converting the plurality of analog input signals, except the first analog input signal, to digital values.
