<p>Benzimidazole carbamate salts of formula (I) are new: (R = 1-4C alkyl; B = >=8C alkyl, alkenyl or alkoxy or >=9X alkylphenyl, alkylnaphthalene or alkoxyphenyl; pref. 10-20C alkyl or 12-18C alkylphenyl or alkoxy, specifically dodecylphenyl). (I) are systemic fungicides of very low water solubility and are resistant to hydrolysis. They are esp. useful for ultra low volume formulation and may be used in plant protection, as seed dressings, and to preserve wood, textiles, paints etc.</p> |
