A number of plane mirrors in a group are arranged to reflect the sun's rays into the sky, all in the same direction and parallel. Air heated by the reflected rays sides and on reaching a cold atmospheric layer the water vapour in the rising air condenses and forms a cloud. This cloud saturates with continued arrival of moist rising air and finally precipitates rain. This occurs between one and three hours either side of midday.
|
