The self-explosive sensitizer may be nitroglycerine and/or nitroglycol and the oxidizing salt ammonium nitrate and/or sodium nitrate. When sodium nitrate is used, the ammonium chloride is present in excess of that required for metathesis with the sodium nitrate. Other optional ingredients are nitrocotton, sodium chloride, china clay, guar gum, and calcium stearate.</p> |
