<p>The engine consists of a cylindrical housing open at one end to form a chamber containing two segment shaped distance pieces with flat side and base surfaces. The distance pieces side walls have curved sealing surfaces which make sliding contact with the inner surface of the cylindrical housing. The two segments, together with the outer housing end wall form a rectangular cylinder boring with an exhaust collection channel able to receive a rotating rectangular piston provided with sealing strips. The piston divides the chamber into two combustion chambers, whereby the fuel is alternatively ignited on the two face sides of the piston.</p> |
