The liquid pouring vessel is particularly for use as a watering can for indoor plants. It comprises a reservoir (1) which can be sealed off airtight apart from the pouring device (6, 7) open during use, and which has a separate vent opening (5), which can be sealed off with the thumb or finger holding it. The opening can be shaped so as to allow drip-feeding by incomplete closure, and can comprises a number of ports. The pouring spout can be bent over so that the emerging jet of fluid is virtually vertical. The vent opening can be incorporated in the hollow handle, or in the filling spout, and the latter can also accommodate the pouring spout.
