<p>The mechanism transports wooden workpieces such as banisters, table legs etc. through a round sanding machine, having a frame and a number of moving sanding belts forming a path limited by feed and discharge openings for the workpieces. It comprises two rollers (4, 5) mounted near the discharge opening (3), one or both of which are driven. The rollers are movable together at right angles to the workpiece travel direction, and the min. distance between them is adjustable. The rollers can be clad with plastic forming a peripheral V-shaped groove, each being mounted at the free end of a swing arm (6, 7) on an axis in the machine frame (2) clear of the discharge opening.</p> |
