<p>The shotgun projectile is used esp. for hunting large game. The projectile has correct ballistic profile even if it is fired from shotgun with smooth bore. This projectile is guided esp. well in a tapered barrel. The projectile has a central, front part (1) of hard metal. Its rear part (3) is made from a soft and heavy metal. The central part has a rear conical part (1A). This part is held on the second part. When the first part contacts the target then the second part is torn or deformed. The soft metal second part has on its base a cavity (7). The second part has also in its circumference, longitudinal slots (5) which become shallow towards the rear end of the projectile. These slots terminate before they reach the rear rim of the projectile so that a continuous rim is formed.</p> |
