<p>1523540 Co-axial cable connector BUNKER RAMO CORP 15 Nov 1976 [13 Nov 1975] 47507/76 Heading H2E A connector for a co-axial cable includes a tubular metallic member 22 whose outer peripheral surface engages the outer conductor 12 of the cable. The tubular member 22 has two raised portions 50 and 26, and an elongate sleeve member 52 retained between the raised portions, the sleeve member having a resilient section 58 for pressing the outer conductor 12 against the tubular member 22. The resilient section is expandable to move over the raised portion 50. In an embodiment of the invention the sleeve 52 has slits 60 which provide a plurality of resilient fingers (62, Fig. 1 not shown). A coupling ring 28 is retained between rim 72 and the flange 68 whilst the plastics insert 30 is secured by annular groove 36. The tubular portion 44 is prevented from moving forwards by flared portion 38 while fold 40 prevents rearward movement.</p> |
