PURPOSE:To brightly illuminate an image frame as a whole, even if an interchangeable lens having a different focal lenght is mounted, by equipping a camera body with detecting means for receiving the information of the focal length of a lens so that the imllumination angle of a strobo device may be automatically controlled in accordance with the information. CONSTITUTION:If a taking lens having a short focal length is mounted in a lens mount 2, focal length detecting members 14 and 16 are shifted vertically of an image frame so that a lever 17 is turned counter-clockwise by the taper of the conical member 16. As a result, a wide panel 6 is protruded upward of a camera to a position, where a pin 30' and a protrusion 30' engage, until it is brought to a position where it covers the whole area of a controlling strobo unit 3. If, under this condition, the strobo emits a light, the resultant beam is scattered by a scattering plate 7 so that a wide covering power by a taking lens having a short focal length can be illuminated. Since, moreover, a scattering plate 8 is placed in front of the aperture 5 of the strobo unit, the covering power for control is enlarged so that the correct optical control can be accomplished even for the photography of the high coverling power. |
