C A N A D A In a light-controllable thyristor, in order to avoid a small-area ignition in the event of inhomogeneous illumination, the photo-current is amplified by means of two auxiliary thyristors, it being ensured that the first auxiliary thyristor does not ignite until the two other systems have ignited. This is achieved by relating the effective emitter edge lengths of main thyristor to second auxiliary thyristor and relating the effective emitter boundary length of the second auxiliary thyristor to the area of the region which is to be exposed.
|
